Wellington 360 Fundraising Training Day

 

Hon Maggie Barry, ONZM, Minister for Culture & Heritage

In the 51st Parliament, Maggie Barry holds three portfolios within Cabinet and is the Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage, Conservation and Senior Citizens. Maggie is the Lead Minister for New Zealand’s First World War Centenary Programme. Maggie will welcome delegates and open the training day.

Director Heather Newell is the lead trainer for the FINZ NZ Certificate in Fundraising and has worked with a number of major charities to grow their fundraising opportunities. Foresee Communications provides specialised training, resourcing, advice, and strategic planning for not-for-profits leading to increased sustainability. They help by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of not-for-profits fundraising through donor relations, managing direct mail, acquisition programmes, training, and mentoring. Fraser Carson, MFINZ

Fraser Carson has over 30 years of experience in a wide variety of communications, marketing and business-related areas. A qualified graphic designer and former art director with the BBC in London and Television New Zealand, Fraser is managing director of Flightdec.com and TheCrowdBlog.com. He runs workshops and seminars on: marketing, online strategy development (including social media) and creative thinking. A particular focus is advocacy campaign planning and activity, with an emphasis on online and digital methods. Tilda Bostwick, MFINZ
Execucare

Tilda has had a portfolio career in marketing, communication, events, and fundraising with arts, environmental and social organisations. She spent four years with the YWCA Auckland, as their marketing and fundraising manager before taking the opportunity to focus her skills in the recruitment area in 2013.

For the last three years Tilda has used her fundraising and marketing experience in her role as a recruitment consultant with Execucare NZ. Execucare specialise in recruitment for the NFP sector and publish a Salary Survey with FINZ bi-annually. Craig started his career in fundraising in 2007 with Pareto, leading on strategy and execution of outbound phone campaigns for some of Australia's largest charities. Looking for a change of focus, Craig joined Everyday Hero to get to know the emerging digital and peer-to-peer fundraising landscape. Alongside his role supporting Everyday Hero's major event partnerships in Australia, Craig is also the newly appointed New Zealand Manager. Craig hopes to help lead innovation in the way New Zealand nonprofit organisations use digital tools for supporter/campaign management for revenue growth in the coming years. Mark has over 20 years sales and marketing experience and has spent the last 8 years as a Direct Marketing Specialist with NZ Post. Mark currently works with a range of clients from large corporates to smaller niche businesses, including a number of charities. Mark has been involved with the Marketing Association Southern Committee for the past 5 years and is also the newest member of the FINZ Southern Committee.

Prior to joining Harbour Asset Management, Andrew spent 10 years with AllianceBernstein (NZ) as Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager responsible for portfolio construction of all Australasian mandates. In that role Andrew and his team were consistently recognised by the industry for excellence in funds management.

Andrew has more than 27 years investment management experience in roles with the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, Bank of England, AMP and with Merrill Lynch Global Asset Management (UK) as Managing Director of Global Equity Products. With Merrill Lynch, Andrew managed global equity accounts for pension funds in Japan, Sweden, Spain, Chile, England, the US, Germany and South Africa.
