Since 2000 Clive Pedley has provided services to a number of iconic New Zealand charities, non-profit organisations, universities and schools. He delivers fundraising leadership, strategic advice, builds organisational capacity, manages capital campaigns, establishes major donor and bequest programmes, conducts fundraising audits, and provides strategic advice and mentoring. Clive is also developing innovative social investment solutions to achieve significant social impact outcomes.
Clive was appointed to the Board of CFRE International in 2014, is former President of FINZ (2011-2013) and member of FINZ Council (2009 - 2015) and was named a Fellow in 2014. Clive is based in Palmerston North and works nationally.
Fraser Carson, MFINZ
Fraser Carson has over 30 years of experience in a wide variety of communications, marketing and business-related areas. A qualified graphic designer and former art director with the BBC in London and Television New Zealand, Fraser is managing director of Flightdec.com and TheCrowdBlog.com. He runs workshops and seminars on: marketing, online strategy development (including social media) and creative thinking. A particular focus is advocacy campaign planning and activity, with an emphasis on online and digital methods. Shirley is the general manager of marketing, communications and fundraising for Presbyterian Support East Coast. Previously she was a sought after trainer, speaker, marketer and PR specialist, Shirley helped organisations achieve breakthrough growth to take their companies to the next level. With over 35 years’ experience across both corporate and charity sectors, Shirley has helped organisations of all sizes achieve their strategic objectives, get more income, build and manage teams, develop new opportunities and innovate through future thinking. Shirley’s specialties include entrepreneurism, strategic management, sales and marketing, communications, PR, management coaching, financial management, speaking, training and facilitating.Shirley’s passion for achieving breakthrough growth stems from years of working with large groups, mid-size companies and small businesses in the UK and NZ. Erin Harford-Wright, CFRE, MFINZ
Erin has a comprehensive grounding in communications – as a journalist and, on the flip-side, in public relations in Wellington and Hawke’s Bay. She spent eight years working as a print and radio journalist, for organisations including APN, Radio New Zealand and NewstalkZB. Her journalism career saw her reporting live to national programmes on significant court cases, crime stories and local government politics. With this experience she turned her skills to public relations and spent three years as Communications Manager for Hastings District Council; providing media crisis management, communications planning for major capital projects and programmes, community engagement, event management, civil defence public relations, and publications & web strategy development. As Communications and Sponsorship Consultant for Giblin Group, Erin provides strategic advice on project communications, media strategy and community engagement. She also develops publications required to secure sponsorship. Erin is based in Hawkes Bay.
Bronwyn Harman, MFINZ
Bronwyn has been working in the charitable sector for over 16 years, initially working as a Fundraising Manager covering all aspects of fundraising and then in later years specialising in the Direct Mail, Donor Management and Database area.
Since 2010 Bronwyn has managed her own consultancy Fundraising Works and worked with a wide range of different charities and non-profit organisations both large and small, locally and nationally to support them in maximising their income.
Bronwyn has just completed two years as a member on the FINZ Council and is a trustee on two local charity boards. Bronwyn is based in Hawkes Bay.
Heather Newell, CFRE, FFINZ
Director Heather Newell is the lead trainer for the FINZ NZ Certificate in Fundraising and has worked with a number of major charities to grow their fundraising opportunities. Foresee Communications provides specialised training, resourcing, advice, and strategic planning for not-for-profits leading to increased sustainability. They help by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of not-for-profits fundraising through donor relations, managing direct mail, acquisition programmes, training, and mentoring. Heather is based in Wellington.
Charlotte Williams, CFRE, MFINZ
Charlotte brings to Giblin Group ten years of experience in marketing and communications. Marketing window and door hardware for global company ASSA ABLOY developed her skillset in R&D, communications and promotion across several distribution channels. On returning to Hawke’s Bay, a role within Hawke’s Bay Tourism gave Charlotte the chance to market a region close to her heart. Working specifically within the event and business tourism sectors, skills in project management, community engagement, handling media and event management were critical. This time also gave Charlotte an insight into local government processes and the importance of strong relationships. Charlotte has an honours degree in Marketing from Otago University. As Marketing and Sponsorship Consultant for Giblin Group, Charlotte consults on communications, media, community engagement and sponsorship. Charlotte is based in Hawkes Bay.
