John is Development Director for College House, Christchurch. His career as a fundraiser began raising sponsorship for the Sydney and later the Edinburgh arts festivals. He then managed fundraising programmes for Edinburgh University’s Medical Research Institute and the Edinburgh Napier University Business School and subsequently has been a consultant to many other fundraising campaigns in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, India and the Middle East. He blogs and writes articles for fundraising and philanthropy publications. He has written and published a book called Artful Major Gift Fundraising.
