The Seven Faces of Philanthropy with Clive Pedley
We all know about the importance of personalising our communication to donors and ensuring that we engage them in an effective way. This session will go a step deeper and consider the Seven Faces of Philanthropy.
Based on the highly regarded research and accompanying book, The Seven Faces of Philanthropy: A new approach to cultivating major donors, authored by Russ Alan Prince and Karen Maru File, Clive will look at the opportunities we have as fundraisers to achieve greater success by considering the motivations and expectations that our donors have.
This session will involve some practical workshop time so come prepared to learn, share and create solutions!
About Clive Pedley
Clive has been a fundraiser in New Zealand for more than 15 years. Working for a wide array of local, regional and national organisations on projects as varied as determining how to improve overall fundraising programmes through to multi-million dollar campaigns.
Clive has extensive experience in training fundraisers, non-profit management teams, Board members and volunteers, helping them to take the steps needed to raise essential funds for their mission. Clive is also a former President of the Fundraising Institute of New Zealand and current Board member of US-based CFRE International, the first New Zealander to be elected to this Board.
Clive has worked with many organisations in Canterbury before and after the major earthquakes and on August 10, 2015, Clive will be launching his new company which will provide a number of game-changing services to the non-profit sector.
