FINZ has two kinds of membership: individual and organisational. Each membership is an annual membership.

(Note: Please ensure the Organisation check box is ticked for Organisation Membership applications otherwise you will not be able to add up to two contact people to be associated with your profile).

Please note that membership is not activated until your application has been approved and payment has been received.
An Invoice will be emailed to the address stated on the application form. If this invoice is being paid by an organisation or a third party on behalf of the Member it is the responsibility of the Member to make any necessary arrangements with the organisation or third party for the payment to be made by the due date printed on the invoice. If the invoice needs a purchase order number or other special requirements, you will need to contact FINZ so we can update the invoice and re-issue.
Individual membership is for individuals working as fundraisers in the not-for-profit or charitable sector. Fundraising is a professional career and in order to succeed and enhance your career development, it is important to belong to your organisational body. FINZ can provide you with:

There are two kinds of FINZ Individual membership.
- Associate Membership - for those joining FINZ for the first time, who are involved in, or are directly responsible for, the fundraising activitites of a not for profit organisation.
- Affiliate Membership - for those associated with the not-for-profit, fundraising and chairty sectors, but who do not have substantial involvement in, or direct responsibility for the fundraising activities.
Individual Memberships are not transferable to another person.
Organisational membership shows your organisation's commitment to ethical fundraising in New Zealand, as well as demonstrating your organisation's commitment to FINZ's Standards of Fundraising.
With this type of membership, each organisation is able to have two employees or volunteers associated with it. These two people receive all the benefits of FINZ membership listed above in the individual membership section.
Should one or both people associated with the FINZ organisational membership leave your organisation, you may add new people to take their place. This provides greater control and flexibility for the organisation to determine who should be associated with the membership at any time.
If an associated person registers for a FINZ event and receives a members discount, they must remain as one of the two listed people until after the event. i.e. an organisation cannot change who their two listed people are multiple times to take advantage of membership discount.
Individual and organisational memberships are non-refundable.

When you create a profile you will be added to the FINZ email list. If you wish to be removed from this list, please send an email with "unsubscribe" in the subject line to firstname.lastname@example.org.
