Helpdesk phone 04 494 2390 and ask for FINZ TAX HELPDESK
TaxTeam specialise in providing practical advice on all tax compliance matters, particularly GST and personnel taxes, but also income tax. TaxTeam work with a wide range of public sector and non-profit organisations and have a wealth of experience in dealing with tax compliance matters, including those which are unique to the nonprofit sector.
As a boutique firm of specialist tax advisors, not aligned to audit, accounting or other consulting services TaxTeam’s advice is completely independent from conflicts of interest. They can be relied upon to provide technically sound and practical advice to FINZ and their clients.
Areas that you may benefit from discussing with them include:
• Recent FBT changes and how they affect your organisation (treatment of vouchers and business-related issues).
• GST related matters including the legitimacy of your GST registration and GST taxable activity, issues related to making exempt supplies (e.g. sale of donated goods), and GST on grant funding.
• PAYE and Withholding Tax issues associated with engaging volunteers and contractors.
• Safeguarding charitable status
The Tax Helpdesk service is intended to give FINZ members a sounding board to discuss their tax compliance matters with a specialist, where all they need is verbal confirmation of a proposed treatment, or general guidance on a course of action to address tax risks or reduce tax costs. It will not cover detailed or written advice on complex tax compliance issues.
Please make sure that you take advantage of this special offer during the trial period. FINZ and TaxTeam will review utilisation of this service after the expiration of the initial trial period, with a view to providing it to FINZ members on an ongoing basis on the most favourable terms possible.”
