About the Instructor

Presenter Dr. Wendy Scaife, EMFIA, FPRIA, Acting Director at the Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies has worked in, researched and taught fundraising for 25 years and is a past FINZ conference speaker.

She holds volunteer roles with FIA, AFP and CAF, among other sector organisations. Wendy came into fundraising many years ago from a corporate communication background and focused her master of business research thesis on how corporate marketing managers can optimise their support of community organisations. Wendy has led teams raising significant dollars and support from successful community partnerships.

She is a former state CEO and national deputy CEO of a major Australian health charity and also chairs a small heritage project and serves on a disaster grantmaking committee.
